Wow, time really flies with the second one. When you have your first, every milestone seems to take forever to get to because you are constantly watching and waiting. By the time the second comes, you are spending yours days running after the first and taking care of the second that you don't have time to wonder which milestones we are looking forward to until they happen. Carter is getting to be so much fun. He loves people and loves to play games, such as peekaboo and any other variation of that. He insists on being up and about now. No more laying around. He wants to be up either in his bouncy seat or in his high chair (even though he still refuses to eat anything I try to feed him while he is in it - I think he likes to view from above the best). Although if Evan is downstairs in the basement playing, he will be content to roll around on the carpet watching Evan or watching TV. Yes you heard me right, he watches TV and my standards are diminishing. But with two going constantly, I have resorted to allowing the TV to be on, so at least I can do a load a laundry, or even better sometimes (though rare) get to sit down and relax. Yesterday I placed him on the floor in front of the TV but not facing it and he rolled around until he could watch it.He also rolled across the floor and each time he made a complete roll he would find me and start laughing hysterically and then do it again (he made it about 7 full rolls before hitting the wall and getting stuck).
Anyway, he is still having some allergy issues, but not as bad as they have been. I have been giving him a supplemental bottle of Neocate and I myself have been taking probiotics. And one, or both, seem to be helping his bowels. He has had solid poop for over a week now (even though he has only pooped 3 times during that time but horrendous gas), but that is a HUGE improvement. He still has severe eczema, which has taken over his whole body, but fortunately it doesn't seem to bother him.
He is consistently sleeping through the night and not by "Dr.s standards" of 6 to 8 hours but a full 10 hours. The last week he has done 7:30 to 6:15, so I can't complain about that. Even when he does stir before 6:00 my wonderful husband gets up and puts him back to sleep.
