Carter is getting so much fun! Not that he wasn't before, but he is interacting with us so much more now and of course his little personality is starting to shine through. He still is my little cuddle bug. The boy LOVES to cuddle, he is so perfectly content to sit and love on you then to get down and play. So I decided this last week, instead of pushing him to play (which was becoming a bit of a power struggle) that I would just soak up these last remaining moments before he is off and crawling and won't want snuggle anymore. Both of us are much happier this week. The house is a wreck and the laundry hasn't been done but at least both of us aren't losing our minds. He is starting to initiate play with us. Several times this week, he has taken a book, and covered his face with it. Of course, we say "Where's Carter?" and he will drop the book down and start giggling. Then does it all over again. He will repeat this sequence 5 or 6 times before getting bored with us : )!
He continues to be vocal. Now he has moved from saying "Momma" to some screeches and squeals to get our attention. He also has been getting this serious face and grunting and murmuring as if he is telling us something really important.
No teeth yet. I am assuming he will be gumming his food until he is 21! He hasn't shown any sign of wanting to crawl either. He does continue to roll around and enjoy watching his brother from the sidelines.
He has become a champ with eating solids. He loves to eat...he will eat most anything but if he doesn't care too much for it, after 10 or so bites, he starts to whine. But usually he finishes everything we give him.
