I can't believe I have been here for almost a full year. I am learning so much and doing new things constantly! Here's what's happening in my life now-a-days.First of all before I start about myself I would like to welcome my new friend to the world. He was born the day after Christmas. What a wonderful gift. Welcome Phoenix. Congrats Bob and Crystal. I can't wait to teach him all kinds of boy things. Here's mom with Phoenix. I was already trying to show him how to eat a cracker but he wasn't too interested.
I am really interested in basketball right now. I get so excited when I see one and I say baa-bah every time I see one. I was in Dick's Sporting Goods last week and they have a whole wall of balls - soccer, football and basketballs. I pointed at the soccers balls and said "ball, ball" and pointed at the footballs and said "ball, ball" and then I saw the basketballs. I got soooo excited and yelled "baa-bah, baa-bah". My daddy is so proud of my new accomplishments! I even watch it on the tv with dad. I love dribbling and shooting my own basketball in the kitchen. I also love clapping and laughing when other people in the room are laughing. I am starting to learn things on my face. Mommy will ask me where my tongue is and I will stick it out at her and start laughing. We are working on the nose right now. Mommy asks me where my nose is but I like to squeeze hers as hard as I can. I giggle when she flinches. I am still crawling. I get around so easy that I dont' really think about walking. I have been taking a full step when moving from the couch and the coffee table without even knowing it. I have mastered the "run crawl" as my parents call it. I am a speed demon and I can crawl faster than my parents walk. I am very independent. I would rather crawl to what I want then have an adult help me walk to it. Who needs help?? I am sleeping wonderfully - according to mom and dad. I go down every night on my own at 7:00 and sleep for 12 hours. Mom and I have our routine down. She sings me "Jesus Loves Me" one time through then kisses me on my forehead and says "Goodnight" and then lays me down. As soon as she turns the lights out I hug her and put my head on her shoulder and pat her shoulder while she sings to me. Mom loves that time with me - it's our special time. I love to eat also! If you can't tell from my pics. I eat anything that I can get my hands on except milk products. I am really allergic to milk, so no yogurt or cheese or anything else that is made of milk. I also love bath time. If mom or dad even mentions the word I will run crawl straight to the bath tub while saying "bat, bat". I love sticking my hands under the running water, throwing my soccer balls out of the tub and splashing so hard that mom and dad gets soaked.
So that's a little bit of what's going on with me. Here are some pics to catch you up.
