I have a hard time with messes. If you have ever stopped by my house, unannounced, you would not know this about me. After all, my house is in a constant state of child-induced mess! I blame my perfectionism on the fact that messes make me FREAK OUT! I kinda don't like to play board games with the kids because I have to make sure each and every piece is back in the box after wards, because losing important pieces DRIVE ME over the edge. I have admitted this many times, so don't judge. That is why I like to get dirrrty over at Jenny's house! ;-) So when Jeremy had the bright idea to go to his parents house and get ALL the legos he had when he was a boy and bring them back to our house, I started packing my bags to run away! Thanks Jan for keeping them all these years!
And for some reason, when he said he had "a lot of legos", I really didn't think he had every single set of legos ever made! I mean, COME ON!!
So on Sunday, Jeremy decided that it would be fun to finally watch his wife get on the crazy train go get the bins of legos.
He assured me that he would be responsible for the clean up and TOLD me to relax and just go with it! You know he kinda sounded like a little kid promising to feed and clean up after a puppy. And we all know how that stories goes.
In total we brought home 7 bins of legos! S-E-V-E-N!! And a folder of ALL the original instructions to each set! That is pretty impressive John (FIL) - gotta love it! Here is a photo of how many legos ONE bin held:
The above picture was Jeremy trying to find pieces without dumping the bins, because he was really trying to appease me. But then he finally looked at me and said, "sorry hun, I just have to dump them".
But I shouldn't pick on Jeremy too much, I mean after all, he did clean up the mess of legos afterwards. I mean, I LOVE the new addition to our living room.
Boys! That is all!
