About a month ago, I started searching for a great used double jogging stroller. I placed ads on Craigslist and a new site I hadn't heard of before, Kijiji. I also tweeted and facebooked my search several times before finally getting a response last week. I was looking for a Baby Jogger, but can't afford a new one. But finally I got an email saying she had a Baby Jogger and the asking price was reasonable, $130. Unfortunately, she lives in Cincinnati, which is about an hour away. But I really wanted a double stroller and if you know me, you know I have a hard time being patient. So on Friday, I took the trip down with both boys and my mom. Of course my GPS took us through, around, under and sideways before getting to her house, but I was pleasantly surprised upon getting there that the stroller was in good shape and I offered her $110 and she accepted.
After speaking with her for a few moments, I found out that the highway wasn't as hard to get to as my GPS had stated and the trip home wasn't as long, which was nice since both boys hadn't had naps and snacks only last so long.
I couldn't wait to get the boys out there with me, but had to wait through the weekend, since Jeremy and I were going out of town. So today was the day. I convinced Jeremy to go with me and we waited very patiently for the boys to wake up. We gave them some juice and off we went, jammies and all.
The boys loved the new pace and enjoyed relaxing and watching their mommy and daddy break a sweat. We didn't do too bad - ran about 1.5 miles with some walking in between. I LOVE my "new" stroller. The boys are not even close to as heavy as they are in our semi-stroller that we have for every day use.
I can't wait to use them as a work out tool. Hey I might as well get in a little bit more cardio and now I won't have to rely on Jeremy watching them, because lets face it, this mom sometimes sleeps in and let's daddy take the boys. Okay, I will be completely honest, Jeremy takes the boys every morning and I am quite spoiled, but at least now, we have something healthy we can all do together!
