Growing up, I had a very best friend, April. We were best friends from the moment we were in the nursery together until adulthood. On my 11th birthday, April gave me one of those "best friend" bracelets. It was the best present I ever received. I wore it everywhere. And after so many years, I still remember it and am saddened that along life's journey, I have lost that bracelet. Was it the actual bracelet that I loved? No, not really, it was the bond that we shared and wore proudly around our wrists. We were best friends! What girl doesn't want to have that connectedness? Come on moms, raise your hand if you owned a BFF necklace/bracelet and I guarantee you remember who you shared the other half with, too! When Daisy Cook contacted me with a invitation to review her Rebelle Butterfly Friendship Bag, I was immediately thrown back to my 11th birthday! I was a kid again, and I was disappointed that I didn't have a tween daughter for her to send one too. I don't think that Jeremy would appreciate Evan receiving a purse to review and share with his best friend, Kaden (don't think Beth would appreciate it either :-)) and besides he isn't even a tween. Sorry, I digress and laughing at my attempt to be funny.
Anyway, after checking out Daisy's site, I fell in love with the idea of her Friendship Bags. They are sooooo cool! Friendships Bags are functional - because come one, what tween girl doesn't need a purse for all of her essentials: lip gloss, compact, extra jewelry, pen, notepad, cell phone, iPod? But they have an added bonus:
And this is the COOL part: the one bag becomes 2 by unzipping the center so that your daughter can share one half with her best friend. Or a second option would be that both girls have their own Friendship Bag and they swap one side with each other, creating a unique combination purse. Which is what I thought would be a fun way of showing each other's personality, because April and I were as different as night and day, and I wonder what ours would looked like. As Daisy puts it, "Trade 'em, mix 'em, match 'em, swap 'em and exchange 'em! Or, just share a half with your BFF!"
After falling in love with this idea, I started brainstorming on friends who had a tween daughter that I could send one too and it hit me. I had the perfect little girl in mind.Lauren is absolutely adorable and would LOVE one of these bags. I immediately emailed Daisy and told her that I, myself, didn't have any girls but I had friends who had a fashion conscious, adorable, fun loving tween who would love to review this bag. So she was gracious enough to send Lauren a bag to check out and believe me, Lauren fell in love with it immediately!
Lauren could hardly wait to share the other half with her Cousin who was visiting for Thanksgiving. She loved the hearts, the fabric, and especially the sparkles.
Besides getting a cool bag, inside each bag is a special tag with a secret registration code. Girls can register their bags and join the Rebelle Girlz Friendship Club! The site gives girls a safe place to chat with Daisy herself, their best friends and other Rebelle Girlz. They can also submit their own fashion designs and portfolios, some of which will actually be produced in the future! What a great opportunity for you daughter to bring out their inner creativity and get to chat with Daisy, herself!!
