Wow, what a vacation it was. We were gone for 2 weeks! We started out in Pensacola Florida, visiting Kaden, Beth and Nate - for Kaden's 3rd birthday. We had so much fun - even though Nate was quarantined to the bedroom because he had Strep! So Evan really missed seeing him but really enjoyed hanging out with Kaden and Beth. We went to the beach and the zoo before heading to destination #2: Panama City Beach Florida, where we stayed a week with Ben, Tricia and Isaac. Our house was amazing with the beach literally our back yard and a pool in the front yard! Couldn't ask for a better location. We had a great time showing the boys beach life. We made sand castles in the mornings, then lounged by our pool, then usually went on an excursion after naps. We took a boat ride to watch dolphins - which they put on a spectacular show and Evan fed the Sea Gulls Cheetos. Evan had his first experience at an arcade - and of course now wants to go every day! We swapped date nights and got to go out without the boys - which was a nice relaxing dinner. The last leg of our trip was Nashville (again with Ben, Tricia and Isaac), for a few days. Unfortunately it rained the whole time, but we still managed to do a few fun things. Caught up with friends who recently moved down there, played putt-putt in the dark with black lights and neon (none of the boys slept well that night - coincidence? I don't thing so), actually lounged for a day and of course checked out local downtown attractions.
All in all - a wonderful trip. The one thing I loved the very most, was being able to experience all the new things with Evan. I know it sound cliche, but watching your own child experience new things that we enjoy is absolutely amazing. I can't wait until next year when Carter will get to join in on the fun.
There are a lot of pics, but hope you still enjoy![nggallery id=5]
