As you might remember from a few months ago, I took a Wilton Cake Decorating Class. As you may also remember that I had a very stressful time learning how to do roses (check out my Wilton journey here, here and here)! But in the end I somewhat conquered the roses. But, because I am a perfectionist, I decided to take another level one class but this time, I decided to take the class at a local cake business, Cake Craft. One of the girls that works there just raved about it and mentioned that you learn much more than in the Wilton class. Besides that, I get all my supplies there and it is a local, small business, which I love to support!
Last night was the second class of a 6 week course. Last week was just an overview and a little bit of practice on...can you guess...ROSES. I didn't freak out. I stayed somewhat calm and actually didn't do too bad! As you will see from the pictures from last night, we have done more in the 2 classes so far as we did in the complete Wilton Class 1, so I am super excited to learn some completely new things next week.
The instructor, Mary, is awesome!! I informed her that I can be somewhat of a "perfectionist" and she has made it a point to pick on me, but also has given me some one-on-one instruction. Which being a teacher myself, I really appreciate!
So as promised here is my finished product from last night.
