On our vacation, we visited Hershey Park! Jeremy and I didn't know what to expect. Honestly, we feared that we would pay the boatload of money to enter the park and in an hour or so, leave with two extremely crabby kids. Oh were we so wrong!!! Let me just say: 11 HOURS! Yes my friends, that is how long we stayed in the park, 11 HOURS!!! And for the most part, all 11 hours were pleasant. The kids had a blast. Hershey Park was wonderful! Enough activities for the little ones, a lot of trees and places to rest up and the weather was perfect!
Jeremy and I don't "do" rides. Neither one of us enjoy amusement parks. The merri-go-round is about the extent of what either one of us will try. But we want to at least allow our kids to experience all things amusement without any bias from us and let them make their own decision about doing stupid things like roller coasters.
Apparently they didn't get the memo that amusement park rides are stupid because Evan and Carter rode EVERY possible ride they could. We were a little hesitant to allow Carter to participate but he wanted to soooo badly. So we went for it and after the initial ride, a ride junkie was born!
I just can't believe we were there for 11 hours! Jeremy and I were worn out but the boys were still wanting to ride rides even in the dark. We had to pull them out of the park where they immediately fell asleep once in the truck! It was a wonderful start to our vacation! And a place we will have to visit again! The boys will make sure of it!
Don't know what we are going to do in a few years when the boys actually want to ride the "real" roller coasters! Aghhh! But we will enjoy the "baby" rides for a couple more years!
Thanks Hershey for amazing day!!!
