Last year Evan was old enough to really enjoy all the Fall festivities. This time last year, Jeremy and I were so excited to take Evan on his first hayride and pumpkin patch. We wanted him to find the "perfect" pumpkin so that we could take it home and carve it with him. Most of our close friends and family remember what we got stuck with (but in case you haven't followed long enough, see the ORIGINAL POST, CLICK HERE), but just for posterity sake here is a picture of that first pumpkin that Evan intently searched for:
Here we are a full year later, and we are heading to the same pumpkin patch for a Mom and Tot date. This year is even more fun because I have Evan and Carter!! Carter, last year was only a few months old so he didn't get to enjoy the festivities! So what does Jeremy say to Evan the morning of the hayride, yep you guessed it!
"Evan are you going to pick out another green pumpkin this year?"
Thanks Jeremy, because that's what I want in front of my house - geeze!
And of course, while we were on the hayride, my good friend Jen, thought it would be funny to mention the green pumpkin again! Thanks Jen!!
So while in the pumpkin patch, Evan searched and searched to find a green pumpkin. He kept asking me where were all the green ones?
"There are no green ones, because green ones are NOT normal, and they are ugly!" "I don't know sweetheart, I guess you will need to keep searching or just get an orange one."
But thanks to Jen, again, she found a green one! Evan is soooo lucky to have found another green pumpkin this year!
If you remember a post from a couple of weeks ago where I stated that Evan refuses to get his picture taken, you will understand that I didn't get a cute picture of him holding this year's green pumpkin, as I did last year. Actually, I didn't get even one picture with Evan and the green pumpkin! But I am a good sport, here is the pumpkins that the boys picked out, proudly on display on our front porch!
Now it's your turn! Any funny Fall stories you would like to share? C'mon I know you must have some!
