Talking with Tricia last night I finally said out loud how much I am enjoying staying at home. I truly thought that the transition would be harder than it was. Not that I don't miss teaching, especially the times, such as yesterday, that I mopped the kitchen floor 4 times because every bodily fluid that Carter can produce, he did, and it landed on the floor or the times that Evan decides to scream and cry all day because I won't let him have Fruit Loops (that boy is hard-headed and remembers EVERYTHING which is a bad combination). Those times don't nearly compare to the way Evan's face lights up when he discovers something new, or when Carter catches my eye and starts to giggle or when Evan needs some "mom" time and cuddles up to me and stays as still as possible. This new job of mine has developed some very bad habits like drinking 3 cups of coffee a day just to keep up with the craziness (hopefully Carter enjoys the extra kick in his milk) or allowing Carter to cry at the top of his lungs while I browse through Target with all eyes looking down at me (even though I know there is nothing wrong with him), but I wouldn't change it for the world. Anyway, here are some pics of the crew over the past couple of weeks. FYI - the first couple of pics were at the Museum Center. As those of you who know Evan, you know he was in Heaven with the balls exhibit. Needless to say it was hard to get him to check out anything else. We have also started the tradition of big weekend breakfast. This past weekend Evan decided to "help" daddy with the "ancks" which is Evan speak for pancakes.
