I’m not sure how it happened, except as a teacher I know the benefits of reading to your children constantly and both Jeremy and I have done that, but I am fortunate enough to have two boys who love to read. They especially love reading in the truck. In the truck we have a bin of books and toys for the boys to rummage through and be entertained by when we are driving. I bet 80% of the time Evan will request a book instead of any of his toys. And it seems now that Carter is following in his footsteps. I will hear him in the back saying “book, book, book” when he has dropped his and wants a new one.
Occasionally, he forgets what you are supposed to do with books, as in the following picture, and it is quite humorous that I caught him looking through the hole in the book at Evan, at us and out the window.
Once he figured out whatever he was experimenting with, he flipped the book back in its’ correct position and continued to read.
